Winterizing Your System
- Drain water from the solar panel system BEFORE freezing weather sets in.
- Open end cap drain plug or coupling at the lowest point.
- Allow water to drain from the solar panels and plumbing. Use a shop-vac to ensure all water is removed from system.
- Adjust the handle of the three way valve to the neutral position to allow the plumbing and valves to drain and remain open .

Spring Startup
Close all end cap drain plugs or
couplings. It is not necessary to flush the system. Apply a
slight coat of white lithium grease (from any hardware store) to the threaded end caps and replace firmly.That's all there is to it!
In extreme heat the water in the system must be circulated periodically to prevent stagnant water and possible bacterial growth. Always maintain a proper chemistry balance.
